After the extraordinary white wild water rafting in Cagayan De Oro, my body still craves for more adventure. The only hindrance is that I am now limited with budget. I’m glad my officemates invited me to go in Maitum Sarangani Province to try White Water Tubing; they said it was an extreme but very affordable adventure.
When we arrive at Maitum, we headed directly to sitio New La Union; this was our base point. Entrance fee is 10 pesos per person, and 150 pesos for the ride. They provide us with a life vest and helmet with individual guides and of-course the most significant gear is the TUBE which is an interior of big tires. With all the provided gears and equipments I should say this is really reasonably priced, and I would recommend this for the limited budget adventurer like me.
They will also provide a motorcycle going to the starting point of water tubing.
Geared up and excited, before jumping into the water there will be a short briefing regarding the do’s and dont’s when struggling with the rapids. Riding in a tube is very simple, you just need to grip the two rubber handles, relax and enjoy the extreme rides with the rapids.
Pangi River is 1.6 km; it takes us about 15 minutes to make it to the end point. It was fun and thrilling flipping over and drank a mouthful of water.
