Started with Mountain Climbing, I did conquer my fear of heights. At some stage of our trip in Cebu we push our vacation to the extreme. Together with my best buddy Jeffrey Playda we go to Crown Regency Hotel and Towers located at Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City to try their ever famous Sky Experience Adventure. As we arrived in the place we head directly to 19th floor for registration. We choose the combo 3 package that cost 1800php which includes 3 rides and a dinner buffet at Wang Shan Lo (Authentic Chinese Cuisine by Hong Kong Chef). Then we have our delicious dinner first before going for an overwhelming ride.

Crown Regency Hotel and Towers view from the Fuente Osmeña Circle.

Our first ride is Edge Coaster, for real? After a buffet you choose that ride? Hahaha yes we did! Because among all rides I think this one will give us more thrill.  Edge Coaster is the world very first amusement ride that goes around the edge of the building and the riders are locked onto a rail seat, as seen in the picture below.  The first run will automatically tilt the seat up to 55 degrees, giving us a thrilling and breathtaking feeling while looking at the streets below which is about 400ft above the ground. After the first tilt we have now the control by pulling the lever which can be found at the front handle of rail seat.

Wow! That was awesome! After the Edge Coaster we immediately proceed to our next adventure name Sky Walk Extreme.  We were given keys for our lockers because we need to put all our things, they do not allow even earrings. We are then asked to wear an orange jumpsuit and a rubber shoe, if you are not wearing a rubber shoes they will lend you.

We started walking at the edge of this 418 feet high building. But this time I don’t feel any extreme excitement maybe because Im now immune to heights.

Now for our last adventure, I am pretty sure this will become a ride of a lifetime the Sky Lift. After we wear our jumpsuits we directly headed to the safety area while the crew prepares the safety harness.

Oh men, with all the gears all set I’m thinking what protection can it gave when you are going to fall 461 feet below. Hahaha now my heart beat so fast, after a few minutes they will going to sent us across the other tower that around 250 feet away.

There you go! Got to say bye bye guys!  Whoa! We were screaming our head off. hahaha

Yepey! We did it for real! Fortunately we are in good piece; this is really an extreme adventure. But this is not the end, I will surely back again to try their other amenities.

We are now certified Sky Adventurer!

Karting Experience At Kartzone Cebu

Posted by Unknown On 11:37 PM No comments
I really want to try how it feels when you are driving in the racetrack, that adrenalin pumping rush which makes you experienced like driving an F1 racing car.  I and my best buddy Jeffrey Playda tried this awesome karting at Kart Zone Cebu, located in F. Cabahug, Ayala Access Road, Mabolo, Cebu City. Though it is different from the real F1 car and looks much alike of a bump car, karting can awaken the inner racer inside of you.

Kart is automatic; there are two pedals one for the accelerator and other is for the break, and there is no shift lever.  Driving a kart doesn’t require you to possess driving skill, even if it’s your first time you may enjoy the ride.

Before jumping into the kart, we had a video orientation that teaches us about the signals, flag symbols and how to drive a kart. They also lecture us about the Do’s and Don’ts of karting. Not following the rules for repeated time will result to put you out in the racetrack.

Now let the fun begins! I and Jeffrey are now ready to step our pedals.

Ready set go! The green flag is raised. Brrrrrrrrrooooooooommmmmm!!!

Whew! That ride is really amazing though 8 laps are not enough for me. If you visit Cebu never ever leave without visiting KARTZONE.

300.00 For single seater kart.

Airsoft War Sports Adventure

Posted by Unknown On 8:53 PM 3 comments
I have never expected that playing airsoft will become my leisure pursuit. The enjoyment of gearing up and the adrenaline rush it gave by thinking a smart tactics on how to conquer and hit your opponents. Airsoft is a military simulation MILSIM sporting game that originated in Japan similar to paintball but fire biodegradable plastic pellets (BB’s) by way of compressed gas or electric and spring driven pistons.

An Airsoft gun is like a replica of real firearms that has nearly 1:1 ratio. Comparing the real one and airsoft guns physically can make you hardly distinguish what’s real and not.  These guns are designed to be non-lethal.

Since the gun is nearly a replica of the real gun, it should not be put on view in the public. Players must transport and carried it in a soft or hard shell case and should be concealed properly until you arrived in a game site.

Playing airsoft needs a minimum safe level of gears for protection; in particular safety glasses and facemask or goggles must be worn for eye protection. They are also required to wear long sleeve shirts, pants and gloves.

Game site and playing method; Airsoft can be played CQB Close Quarter Battle or CQC Close Quarter Combat. Sometimes also played in woodland environment which has multiple objectives such as to attack and defend.  The players raise their hands and call out “hit” an indication that they have been shot, it is a gentleman game or a game of honor truthfulness and integrity is at stake so players will play honestly and call themselves out when hit.

Close Quarter Battle or Close Quarter Combat ASG Game site.

Woodland environment is common site for Military Simulation MILSIM.

Hearts Day Outreach and Feeding

Posted by Unknown On 12:06 AM No comments
February is the month where we celebrate Valentine’s Day, some say it’s the month of love. In its place of the traditional dating with love ones and partners I choose to join Earth Panic Environment Club Activity themed “Gugma Sa Kinaiyahan Tabang Sa Katawhan”, I think this would be the best thing to share love with someone. This activity will endow with charity to young children lives in Barangay Bagong Silang, San Jose, General Santos City. Charity is very important, because it teaches us to care for those who are less fortunate. And also teach us compassion and empathy.

Packed and loaded with goods our truck is now ready to go, heading to Barangay Bagong Silang.

As we travel to our destination, troublesome incident happened. Due to so many heavy loads in our truck, it had a hard time driving into an elevated area that end us trapped in the place. We have no choice but to unload our bags and walk to a nearby sitio to ask some help.

Finally after an hour of waiting for help, another truck came to rescue and helped us to tow our stranded truck.  And thank God we arrived at Barangay Bagong Silang safe and sound.

At the front gate of the school a young little boy caught my attention, selling tilapia. I ask him how much he sells it; he said it cost 50 pesos for 6 pieces of tilapia no matter how big and small it is. That’s cheap in the City it cost 80 pesos per kilo or more so I brought one, now we have a yummy fresh tilapia ready to be grill for dinner.

On our way going inside the school we are welcomed by these young innocent little children’s.

After we fixed our things and have a 30 minutes rest, the outreach program was started with parlor games, participated by every little child in the Barangay.

Numerous games have been prepared for the children headed by the staff of EPEC group and Ms. Riza.

Hmnnn.. I smell something that makes my stomach growl from hunger. Now I know the reason why, this is the most waited moment for everyone. Snack time! ^_^ Riza is also celebrating her birthday that day, so the perfect partner is hot spaghetti and juice.

Cute little innocent kiddies are waiting for the staff to start the distribution of yummy spaghetti.

At last together with the local teacher, she helped us organized the children’s to form a line orderly.

Hey! Hey! What are you guys doing in the line? They said little children not a big cold blooded Ogre.

A young boy patiently waiting for his plate to be filled with hot spaghetti.

Local teacher assisted the children waiting for their turn, while the EPEC staff is busy distributing foods.

It was indeed a tiring day, but the happiness we brought to the children is incomparable and priceless. I love looking to the children with the smile on their face. They are filled with curiosity and very innocent. I wanted to be back another time in Barangay Bagong Silang and have a bonding moment with those kid’s. Thanks so much EPEC Team for organizing the said activity and also to the group of mountaineers who gave donations, clothes, toys and foods.
